Seasons Greetings from the Chair

As we come to the end of another busy year, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in 2015 and wish you a safe and joyous festive season.

We recognise that what we, as an organisation, have achieved is largely due to the support we have received from members of the A&U community. Thank you for the role you have played in helping us to make a BIG difference in little lives.  Our year in review…

We are happy to report that 49 additional children are established in new mentoring relationships across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

We now have 129 active mentors who contributed an estimated 4000 mentoring hours throughout the year.

Attendance numbers at all our program events have been FABULOUS with 239 people enjoying the festivities at our recent Christmas picnic.  A great way to celebrate our program and end the year.

Sadly, we farewelled two of our long term coordinators – Donna and Violetta.

Great news!  We welcomed Chantelle as our new coordinator on the Gold Coast whilst Hayley broadened her boundaries taking on all of the Brisbane region and increasing to full-time hours.

It is with regret that we have had to temporarily close our Brisbane waiting list due to lack of funding. Whilst this situation is unfortunate, it is enlightening to see the support we have received from the A&U community toward our 2015 Christmas appeal.  We still have a long way to go but we would like to thank all those who have made donations.  We appreciate your generosity.

Last but not least, THANK YOU for your ongoing support.  We look forward to what the New Year may bring.

Best wishes,

Suzanne Rose
